[In 1833, this building was the scene of one of New Jersey's most notorious murders. This building was part of a small farm owned by the Sayre family, who were brutally murdered by Anton Leblanc, a French immigrant. Le Blanc was captured near Newark, and then tried and sentenced in Morristown. He became the last person hanged on the Morristown Green. The building was torn down in 2007. It stood approximately at site of current TD Bank, as of 2011]
