Title	Park Place, #40, Day's Colonial Restaurant, circa 1910, Morristown, NJ
Description	Note on back of postcard: "This is one of the oldest firms in Morristown. It was established in 1862 by Wilbur P. Day, continued by W. F. Day, Jr, and is now managed by W.F. Day, 3rd. In this building during the Sixties and Seventies, [1860s and 1870s] in the Old Washington Hall, which was on the top floor. Vail and Morse gave their first public demonstration of the Telegraph, Edison demonstrated his Phonograph and Lew Docksteader gave his first Minstrels. The principle to which Day's owes its long prosperity is "Never use a substitute when the real thing is available." Day's Ice Cream, etc., is still made the same way as it was in the Sixties. Time has changed many things but not the Products of Day's.
