Morristown

housed
in a
fine
sturdy
Revolutionary
War
landmark
, the
house
having
1749
as its
date
of
construction
. The
inn
consists
of
5
dining
rooms to
accommodate
both large and small
social
functions
.
Total
seating
capacity
about
700
. When
visiting
the
inn
treat
yourself to
Winchester’s
world
renowned
lobster
Thermidor
. The
inn
is open every
day
including
Sunday
and
holidays.

1833
, this
building
was the
scene
of one of New
Jersey's
most
notorious
murders
. This
building
was part of a small
farm
owned
by the
Sayre
family
, who were
brutally
murdered
by
Anton
Leblanc
, a
French
immigrant
.
Le
Blanc
was
captured
near
Newark
, and then tried and
sentenced
in
Morristown
. He became the last
person
hanged
on the
Morristown
Green
. The
building
was
torn
down in
2007
. It
stood
approximately
at
site
of
current
TD
Bank
, as of
2011]
